Andrea B. Reilly
Andrea B. Reilly draws on her experience in government, strong relationships and legal background to help guide Smith, Bryan & Myers’ (SBM) client interactions with the legislative and executive branches of state government. Andrea provides clients with strategic counsel to develop and execute their government advocacy agendas in a wide array of public policy areas.
Andrea’s previous government experience included three years working for Congressman Adam Putnam while he served as chairman of the House Republican Conference, where she worked closely with the House Republican leadership. Having also worked on several congressional campaigns in the State of Florida, Andreay has formed and maintains strong relationships with members and staff in the executive and legislative branches in both Florida and Washington, D.C.
An attorney with extensive experience in political and administrative law, Andrea was an associate with Holland & Knight, where she focused on government advocacy and political and administrative law prior to joining SBM. In this role, Andrea assisted clients with campaign finance, ethics and elections, lobbying disclosures, and pay-to-play compliance issues at the local, state and federal levels. She has also assisted clients with Federal Election Commission enforcement actions, congressional ethics inquiries and state campaign finance agency enforcement actions. Andrea has also advised clients on participation in the political process, including implementing their political involvement through the establishment and maintenance of political committees. Additionally, she serves as SBM’s general counsel.
Andrea received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Florida and graduated cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Andrea was recently featured in Influence Magazine’s Spring 2015 edition as a member of the “Next Generation.” Andrea currently sits on the board of the Florida Association of Professional Lobbyists, serves as General Counsel for the Florida Health Care Association, is active in the National Association of Professional Lobbyists, is a member of the Republican National Lawyers Association and is a past chair of the Sunshine State Leadership Project. Originally from Lakeland, Andrea and her husband, Kevin, live in Tallahassee.
